The annual musical talent contest will be
held in conjunction with the Alabama Pecan Festival. This contest
will feature musical talent in individual, group, and band.
Each entry must be accompanied by an
application and a $10.00 entry fee, plus six copies of the lyrics to be
performed. All applications should be submitted between September
15th and October 25th of each year. (Late entries will be accepted
with approval but must be accompanied with all forms and all fees before
performance.)
All talent will be judged equally based on
the following:
Continuity, Style, Overall Performance, Originality and Concept, Actual
Presentation, and Audience Reaction.
The field of entry will perform live before the judges and audience
at the Alabama Pecan Festival on stage inside the Tillman's Corner
Community Center located at 5055 Carol Plantation Road, Mobile,
Alabama 36619, Thursday, October 30th, immediately following the Song
Writer's Contest which begins at 5:00 p.m.

Writer's Contest at the Tillman's Corner Community Center auditorium staging area.
ALL CONTESTANTS SHOULD BE IN THE BUILDING
AT THE DESIGNATED AREA NO LATER THAN 6:00 P.M. ANY EXCEPTIONS MUST
BE APPROVED BEFORE THE CONTEST BEGINS AND ARE NOT BINDING ON THE CONTEST
IN ANY WAY. FAILURE TO PERFORM IN DESIGNATED ORDER OF PERFORMANCE
DISQUALIFIES THE ENTRY.
This contest is not affiliated with any
other organizations or groups and is solely for the purpose of promoting
MUSICAL TALENT in a venue that will give exposure to assist the individual or
group to further their ambitions.
